Now this could certainly be used in future weapons. There is pretty much no sound and no recoil. It’d be incredibly useful for spec-ops.

Now just have it semi-auto.

Falcon500ful May 3, 2010 at 1:10 am

He uses a real bullet!!!!!!!?

skweekey01 May 3, 2010 at 3:12 am

@benvonwedel tell ya what, that’s what they were saying about the first semi auto firearms because they used to jam so often. “Look I can shoot just as many rounds off with my bolt action without it jamming, ‘peace of shit wow’” lol 2 suggestions, Spell Check, and Fact check. a 9mm will not make you “have trouble finding the can”. Try shooting one first, then post.

benvonwedel May 3, 2010 at 3:42 am

it will never be the future because it is a peace of shit wow is can hia a can 30 inches a real gun even a 9mm you would have troble finding the can

lordofudead May 3, 2010 at 4:34 am

@ztejas13 it could be the future, if you think about it, that gun was made unprofessionally with limited supplies. if the military tried this out they could make a gun more powerful then anything simply with electronics. that gun was powerd by im guessing a couple of 6v batteries and some of those air craft carriers and subs are nuclear powerd, Im thinking their might be a considerable increase in the speed and power of a bullet fired from one of those things…..

lordofudead May 3, 2010 at 4:50 am

@ZeroSkater181 dude that was very uncalled for, is someone trying to branch out? maybe expressing their own personal problems?

super00su May 3, 2010 at 5:49 am

Coilgun + GyroJet =Works

ja0129 May 3, 2010 at 5:56 am

Dude this is only a demonstration, the real thing is 20 times more powerful and the technology its not that sophisticated. They’re running numerous test for this new weapon. So for now, we have fire arms with bullets in cartridges.

ZeroSkater181 May 3, 2010 at 6:07 am

let me guess..ur 30, u built this in ur moms basement becasue u dont have a social life and ur dieing to make a gun that’ll make u money so u can turn it alll into 1′s and get a lap dance at a shitty stip club somewhere in LA by some whore named tina…justa guess.

GaurdDuck May 3, 2010 at 6:29 am

@spazzymagey

Before that he was a farmer who went hunting.

spazzymagey May 3, 2010 at 6:56 am

@GaurdDuck he was just simply an amazing soldier. one of the best

GaurdDuck May 3, 2010 at 7:45 am

@spazzymagey

I would say that it depends on the situation and the shooter’s personal preference. Simo Hayha also killed just over 100 Russians with a sub-machine gun.

ztejas13 May 3, 2010 at 8:42 am

How is this the future of warfare? Just because it is cool? A real gun is more lethal and doesn’t waste electricity, and is reliable…

spazzymagey May 3, 2010 at 8:54 am

@GaurdDuck ive heard of that guy, Finnish i believe, killed around 600 or so russain soldiers in 3 months!. niiice. bolt action will always be superior to auto’s

manoftnuva May 3, 2010 at 9:51 am

how fast it can be reloaded for the next shot?

GaurdDuck May 3, 2010 at 9:52 am

@spazzymagey

I do know some stuff about the guns I have used at the range and I know people who know more about guns than I do. On a battlefield, I’d be more afraid of a hunter or target shooter with his bolt action hunting gun than I would an armored convoy. If you are curious why look up Simo Hayha. My deer rifle is a different model of his gun. Mine is longer and came with a different bayonet.

ninjabone409 May 3, 2010 at 10:42 am

lets test it on something thats not important like a human

spazzymagey May 3, 2010 at 11:40 am

@GaurdDuck after what you told me i now agree with you :) , u seem to know alot about guns

GaurdDuck May 3, 2010 at 12:00 pm

@spazzymagey

You don’t reload after every shot on Semi-autos either. Hell, my bolt-actions only have to reload every 3 and 5 shots respectively. I think you meant that I don’t have to work the bolt manually as often. I don’t mind it though. I’d take a bolt-action rifle or semi-auto shotgun over an M16 any day. I can fix mine in the field in about ten seconds while automatics have many moving parts that require special care and attention not to get lost or dirty.

spazzymagey May 3, 2010 at 12:40 pm

@GaurdDuck true but it can also save your life if your surrounded by enemy, so you dont have to reload after evry shot, like the 1910s
