Why are you comparing a desktop to a laptop? and no imacs are crap. Get or build a pc and overclock it.
IMacs are not laptops.. They are compact desktop computers (in which the computer is integrated into the monitor).
If you want a Mac laptop, it would be either the Macbook, Macbook Pro, or Macbook Air.
